We have seen inspirational role models in the news, Sir Colonel Tom who Raised an incredible amount of money for the NHS and is now helping with the Royal British Legion.
Sir Colonel Tom Moore says the Legion is facing a ‘difficult time’ this year.
What is the Poppy Appeal
The first Poppy Appeal took place on 11 November 1921 with poppies imported from France. Inspired by the poem In Flanders Fields written by John McCrae.
The reason poppies are used to remember the brave soldiers who lost their lives in battle, this is because they are the flowers which grew on the battlefields after World War One ended.
These resilient flowers flourished in the middle of so much chaos and destruction, growing in the thousands upon thousands.
The Royal British Legion provides lifelong support for the serving men and women, veterans, and their families.
We would like to thank all our customers for their support and encourage everyone to fund-raise for a wonderful cause.
